Handmade high carbon steel corrugated sword

I bought this a few months ago, great katana, can cut soft or hard targets if you are on a budget, full of features, very good weight, so happy!

I am a beginner (over 60 years old, haha): Iaido and Kendo practitioner. I use this sword for cutting wet tatami mats, I have made about 50 cuts total so far, the blade holds well and can easily cut the entire tatami mat, single or double size. This katana has a good balance point, well done, real sword!

This blade was made by a man who knew what he was doing. Everything is vertical and tight. The edges are sharp and well-sharpened, the base of the blade remains pretty much intact, and the actual cutting surface forward is well ground. It's very sharp, but I'll dress it up with my Indian/Akasas fine edge option. Just because I'm OCD about "edgy", it's worth every penny. Simple yet elegant. I have many katana swords and this one is top of the line.

The sword is a stunning and brilliant piece, with a nice weight and overall stunning look. The only problem is that my sword is mounted a little too tight in the scabbard and the blade is a little dull when I get it. Very good blade at a great price
