I got this because Jack Snipe is found in short vegetation usually 2 to 5 meters and it works really well. Common Snipe can also be picked up at 100m in the dark before sunrise. However, don't expect to be able to identify what you're seeing through it, other than the behavior. The fox is easily recognized by its shape at 100m. It can't see through vegetation, so don't expect it to. The digital zoom is useless above 2x. I only use 1x and don’t use the recording function at all. The best display setting for me is Red Hot, which makes the Jack Snipe obvious at the distance I use it.
